January Non-OPEC and World Oil Production Drops

The focus of this post is an overview of World oil production along with a more detailed review of the top 11 Non-OPEC oil producing countries. OPEC production is covered in a separate post.

Below are a number of Crude plus Condensate (C + C) production charts, usually shortened to “oil”, for the oil producing countries. The charts are created from data provided by the EIA’s International Energy Statistics and are updated to January 2025. This is the latest and most detailed/complete World oil production information available. Information from other sources such as OPEC, the STEO and country specific sites such as Brazil, Norway, Mexico, Argentina and China is used to provide a short term outlook. 

World oil production decreased by 231 kb/d in January to 82,184 kb/d, green graph. The largest decrease came from the US, 305 kb/d. February’s World oil production is projected to increase by 400 kb/d to 82,584 kb/d.

This is the latest and most detailed/complete World oil production information available. Information from other sources such as OPEC, the STEO and country specific sites such as Brazil, Norway, Mexico, Argentina and China is used to provide a short term outlook. 

World oil production increased by 383 kb/d in December to 82,386 kb/d, green graph. The largest increases came from Brazil, 109 kb/d and US, 95 kb/d. January’s World oil production is projected to decrease by 165 kb/d to 82,121 kb/d.

Below are a number of Crude plus Condensate (C + C) production charts, usually shortened to “oil”, for oil producing countries. This is the latest and most detailed/complete World oil production information available. Information from other sources such as OPEC, the STEO and country specific sites such as Brazil, Norway, Mexico and China is used to provide a short term outlook. 

World oil production increased by 930 kb/d in October to 81,739 kb/d, green graph. The largest increases came from Libya, 500 kb/d, and Canada, 325 kb/d. These two countries last month were the two largest decliners. November’s World oil production is projected to increase by 117 kb/d to 81,856 kb/d.

May Non-OPEC Oil Production Declines Again

Below are a number of Crude oil plus Condensate (C + C ) production charts for Non-OPEC countries created from data provided by the EIA’s International Energy Statistics and updated to May 2022. This is the latest and most detailed world oil production information available. Information from other sources such as OPEC, the STEO and country specific sites such as Russia, Brazil, Norway and China is used to provide a short term outlook for future output and direction for a few countries and the world. The US report has an expanded view beyond production by adding rig and frac charts.

May Non-OPEC production decreased by 148 kb/d to 48,834 kb/d. The biggest decliners were Canada 193 kb/d, Brazil 120 kb/d, US 56 kb/d and Norway 38 kb/d. The biggest offsetting increases came from from Kazakhstan 148 kb/d and Russia 145 kb/d.

Non-OPEC December Oil Production Drifts Lower

Below are a number of crude oil plus condensate (C + C ) production charts for Non-OPEC countries created from data provided by the EIA’s International Energy Statistics and updated to December 2021. This is the latest and most detailed world oil information available. Information from other sources such as OPEC, the STEO and country specific sites such as Russia, Brazil, Norway and China is used to provide a short term outlook for future output and direction for a few countries and the world.

December Non-OPEC production decreased by 261 kb/d to 49,628 kb/d. Of the 261 kb/d decrease, the biggest decreases came from the US 205 kb/d, Brazil 113 kb/d and China 91 kb/d. Offsetting the decreases were increases from Norway, 117 kb/d and Guyana 86 kb/d.
